Blaise Nelson, a junior at Valley Vista High in Arizona, won the boys invitational 200 meters in 21.72 seconds at the 82nd Nike Chandler Rotary Invitational at Austin Field at Chandler High. Nelson finished second in the boys invitational 100-meter dash in 10.75 and contributed to a third-place effort in the invitational 4x100-meter relay in 42.50.
