El Paso Eastlake TX senior Amaris Chavez won the seeded girls 3,200 meters in a personal-best 11:39.53 at the 79th NIKE Chandler Rotary Invitational at Austin Field in Chandler, Ariz. Chavez lowered her previous-best mark of 11:52.81 from March 9 at the Canutillo Julius Lowenberg Invitational.
