Durango CO junior Madeleine Burns won the girls 3,200 meters in a meet-record 10:36.96 at the 79th NIKE Chandler Rotary Invitational at Austin Field in Chandler, Ariz. Burns, who had a previous-best of 11:27.17 at last year's 4A state championship, eclipsed the 2011 record of 10:38.65 set by Rolanda Jumbo of Chinle AZ.
