Casteel AZ junior Taylor Starkey won the girls pole vault at the 79th NIKE Chandler Rotary Invitational, equaling the meet record with a 13-foot clearance (3.96m) at Austin Field in Chandler, Ariz. Starkey, selected girls field event athlete of the meet, matched the record shared by the Desert Vista AZ pair of Vanessa Davis (2014) and Shayla Simpson (2010) with her 13-foot effort.
