Zane Bergen, a junior at Niwot High in Colorado and senior James Overberg of Centaurus High in Colorado, both representing REAL Training, ran the two fastest 3,200-meter times in meet history at the NIKE Chandler Rotary Invitational at Austin Field in Chandler, Ariz. Bergen prevailed in 8:57.51 and the Colorado-bound Overberg clocked 8:59.31 to lead three sub-9 performances, including Erik Le Roux of Cheyenne Mountain and Kokopelli Racing Team, who ran 8:59.75.
